Jacob Hubanks
Jacob Hubanks, originally from Dubuque, IA, moved to the Cedar Rapids area a decade ago to study at Mount Mercy University and to embark on a career in financial services. He graduated from Mount Mercy with a bachelor's degree in business administration and spent three years on the baseball team, where he learned the importance of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance—values that he continues to apply in his professional life. Jacob currently resides in Ely, Iowa, just outside of Cedar Rapids.
As part of the EDGE team, Jacob serves on the Investment Committee and enjoys working closely with clients to build personalized financial strategies that align with their unique goals and aspirations. He finds great satisfaction in listening to his clients' stories, learning about their past experiences, and understanding their financial objectives. This allows him to craft tailored plans that not only focus on investment selection but also foster the right mindset and habits for long-term financial success. Jacob often emphasizes that building successful financial habits is just as important as the investment strategy itself.
Outside of work, Jacob loves exploring the outdoors with friends and family. Some of his favorite activities include bird hunting, working out, and training his silver lab, Ash.
Jacob is passionate about his work and pursues growth and excellence every day. He is dedicated to serving his clients and looks forward to continuing to equip people to reach their goals.
Jacob currently holds FINRA SIE, Series 6, 63 and 65 licenses as well as his Health & Life Insurance license, held through LPL Financial.
